Xcontrol Media offers the following base model components via Smart TVs or Set Top Boxes and a CAT5 or Coaxial infrastructure.

Video On Demand Library and player for content that does not require Digital Rights Management (DRM).

Distinct VOD Library lists can be created dynamically and assigned to particular devices (Example: Separate VOD lists for Crew and Passengers).

Video On Demand Library and player for content that does require Digital Rights Management (DRM).

Supports Pro:Idiom DRM Decoding. Encoded stream decoded by the Smart TV or Set Top Box (no decoding at any point before then to preserve DRM integrity).

DRM Movie company feeds supported: Swank, Global Eagle Entertainment. Additional provider feeds can be supported if needed.

Xcontrol Media complies with Maritime Safety regulations by providing Emergency Muting capabilities that mute the TV sound when Emergency Calls are made over the ship loud speakers.

Interactive Digital Signage Screens

Supports a variety of different digital signage screens displaying different customised content media streams.

The onscreen portal can be configured with informational pages. Some display consistent content like deck plans and general information, while others rotate daily content such as events, dining menus, and port information.

Base system built on Liferay and content and navigation is driven by the Liferay Content Management system.

The system can integrate with other content management platforms through customization services.
